Granaboard job opportunities [!OT]

As you may know, the upcoming Proto Omega: Granaboard 2 website will be much bigger and have a lot of sections and features. Because of that, and because of my limited spare time, I'm offering these job opportunities for those who want to collaborate with the Granaboard staff or be part of it.

I will be listing the available seats and all the information in this thread.

J01: Post Repository submitter - Assigned

What to do: I need that you review all the old threads in the 15 pages of
the board, and submit to [email protected] the interesting,
long posts you think we should include in the Post Repository.

Optional tasks: Optionally, you may do this for the new posts as they are
being posted, until you decide to quit.

When: You can start right now. You may take up to one month and a
half to review all our existing threads.

Requeriments: - Being a regular Message Board member (having been active for
at least two months)
- Having a working E-Mail account to submit posts

Position: Collaborator
Permanent staff member if you do the optional part as well

You may quit: After you finish with the existing threads, you may quit
anytime.

J02: Poll of the Week - Assigned

What to do: I need that you design a weekly poll and set it up using a
free web poll service I will find and get an account at. What
you need to do is to log in to the service every monday,
tuesday, sunday, or whatever you prefer, close the existing
poll, and create a new one; then E-Mail me about it.

When: We will start after Proto Omega is launched.

Requeriments: - Being a regular Message Board member (having been active for
at least two months)
- Being able to set up a web poll using the account I create.
(No HTML knowledge is needed.)
- Having a working E-Mail account to talk to me

Position: Permanent staff member in charge of the Poll of the Week

You may quit: Anytime. You should inform me that you are quitting a week
before, so I can find a new person to be in charge of this.

J03: English to Spanish translator

What to do: I need that you translate the existing pages of the site into
Spanish, because I won't have the time to. I will provide you
with excellent English and Spanish dictionaries, as well as
all the feedback you need.

Optional tasks: Optionally, you may translate some of my posts and work, after
you finish with the site.

When: We will start after Proto Omega is launched.

Requeriments: - Being a regular Message Board member (having been active for
at least two months)
- Good knowledge of the English language (mid-high level)
- Excellent knowledge of the Spanish language (high level)
- Minimal knowledge of HTML (I can teach you what you need in
this department.)
- Having a working E-Mail account to send me your translations

Position: Permanent staff member
Personal collaborator if you do the optional part as well

You may quit: Anytime.

J04: Public Relations

What to do: I need you to contact the websites which have a link to
Granaboard and ask for updates; contact new websites for new
links; and submit the new website to all well-known search
engines and web directories.

Optional tasks: It'll be a good thing that you know a lot of search engines
and web directories to submit the site to, but it is not
necessary.

When: We will start after Proto Omega is launched. Contact me now
and wait for further instructions then.

Requeriments: - Being a regular Message Board member (having been active for
at least two months)
- Good knowledge of search engines and general WWW
- Having a working E-Mail account to submit posts

Position: Permanent staff member

You may quit: Anytime, as long as you don't leave some contact unfinished.

I think this is a volunteer thing BJ... :-) I'm glad to see you're somewhat willing to help though.

As for being the oldest, if you mean age then you might be right... but as for being around the GII boards that's undeterminable [img]wink.gif[/img] .

Poll of the Week is something I suck at

English to Spanish translator... I don't know spanish...

Public Relations is something I'd also not be good in. Besides, I don't meet the requirements for these.

IRT Bj: If I were making money with the Granaboard, I would surely pay you... but if you accept pr0n as payment, then I'm rich, and willing to share, LOL.

IRT Kles: Wait 1 month and 3 weeks to get the regular state and then you may work on anything you want and can, as well as to post your unrelated fanfics and fanart in the Regular Members' section... the site will be released in about a month, so it won't be too long a wait [img]smile.gif[/img] . The member classes are as follow:

Retired member (5): People no longer posting. Will regain the rights they had if they post again.

New member (4): New cool people who joined and have been active for less than 2 months ago.

Regular member (3): People who have been active for more than 2 months, gaining access to jobs and the Members' sections.

Veteran member (2): People who have been here since the times of Accessboards.com (pre-Hottub). No extra rights, just recognition.

Staff member (1): People working for the Granaboard/Proto Omega/Granaboard 2 website, or moderating the message board. Custom rights depending on their work (for example, mods may mod, duh).

Founder (0): Myself. May edit the site, board and rules. May complain on no life. May bitch about people's signatures. LOL.
